Fresh Squeezed Orange Lemonade

Pitcher of Orange Lemonade

I am (clearly) the kind of person who loves to feed people. My kids won’t eat a lot of the food I make, because most of it is honestly not “kid friendly”. Of course, they will eat most of my desserts, but that’s about it. Since my kids don’t want to eat my cooking (rude!), I like to make them this fresh squeezed orange lemonade. I know that they will always go on and on about how much they love it, and I feel better about serving this to them rather than the instant stuff.

This lemonade would be perfect for the hot days of summer, picnics, cookouts or beach days. This recipe makes one two quart pitcher full. If you have a thirsty family, or if you want to make a pitcher for a friend, go ahead and double the recipe!

To make this lemonade, you will start by making a simple syrup. Just heat the water and sugar and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. After that, you will just combine the simple syrup with the citrus juices and water. Throw some sliced lemon and orange in the pitcher and allow it to cool before enjoying.
