Slow Cooker Korean Beef

During the week, slow cooker meals are a life-saver for me. We are always on the go, so to avoid eating out all of the time, I fall back on slow cooker meals pretty often. I love that this Korean Beef is full of flavor, easy to prepare and I can throw it together in the morning, and its ready to enjoy when we finally get home.

If you have a hunter in the family, this dish is also delicious with when made with deer. I add two tablespoons of sriracha when making this, and it isn’t spicy at all to me. If you prefer not to have the spice, you can cut back on the sriracha or even leave it out all together.

This beef is great served with veggies or over a bed of rice. I like to top it with chopped green onion, some sesame seeds and even more sriracha. I hope you enjoy!

  • 3 lb beef roast cubed into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 3/4 cup soy sauce low sodium
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tsp grated ginger
  • 2 tbsp sriracha optional
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 4 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • green onion and sesame seeds for topping


  • Cut your roast into bite-sized pieces and put it into the slow cooker. Add the beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, sesame oil, vinegar, ginger, sriracha, onion powder and pepper. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or on high for 4 hours.
  • In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water together.  Pour it into the slow cooker and mix.  Cook on high for an additional 40 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.  Top with green onion and sesame seeds if desired and enjoy!
