Lemon Lime Sangria

a pitcher and a glass full of lemon lime sangria

We had a group of people over for dinner a while back, and I didn’t know them very well. I went out and bought a pretty large selection of alcohol just because I wasn’t sure what they liked. Part of that alcohol purchase was some white wine. Now I am a wine drinker through and through, but I tend to drink red more often. These two bottles of Pinot Grigio have just been sitting around since then, so I decided to make good use of them. Today was a hot day – the kind of day when I want to just hang out outdoors with a nice adult beverage. I started brainstorming and decided to make a lemon lime sangria because I thought it would be super refreshing for the hot weather.

Making this lemon lime sangria is pretty simple. You will start by mixing together the sugar and limoncello. Keep on mixing until the sugar is dissolved. Be sure you get that sugar dissolved! Next you will add everything except the club soda. Mix again. Finally you add the club soda and gently stir a couple times. Chill the sangria before serving.
