PB&J Smoothie – A Quick, Easy and Delicious Breakfast

My weekday mornings are absolutely nuts. I am trying to feed four small kids, make sure two of them have everything they need for school and do my best to make sure all of them are at least somewhat presentable. I spend so much time worried about them in the morning, that I honestly put zero time into myself. Typically, I do not even have time to brush my hair, much less time for a breakfast. I love to make smoothies for myself, because I can drink them on the way to school. Another amazing thing about smoothies is that I can load them with healthy ingredients and they still taste amazing. This PB&J Smoothie is 100% my favorite of all!

Smoothies are really a simple thing to make, and they can be personalized with anything that you like. Honestly, I felt a little silly posting this recipe, because it is so simple, but I personally need a little inspiration sometimes. I figured others might need some inspiration, too. I use almond milk in my smoothies, but feel free to use whatever type of milk you want. Also feel free to use any type of peanut butter that you would like. I like to use natural peanut butter, but creamy, crunchy or whatever you like will work. You could also use any other nut butter (like almond butter) that you like in this recipe, and it will work just fine.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium banana peeled
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup almond milk or your prefered milk
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter

Instructions

  • Place all of the ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy!
