Preheat the oven to 350° and grease an 8x8 baking dish and line it with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract and combine. Add the flour, cocoa powder and salt and mix just until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Pour 3/4 of the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish. Reserve the other 1/4 of the brownie batter in a separate bowl.

Beat together the cream cheese, sugar, egg and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the brownie batter in the baking dish.
Add the hot water to the brownie batter and whisk together until the mixture is smooth. Drop spoonfulls of the brownie batter mixture on top of the cheesecake. Using a butter knife swirl the brownie batter into the cheesecake slightly.
Sprinkle the crushed Oreos on top and bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30-35 minutes. Allow to cool completely before slicing and serving.
