Ingredients

  • 10 lb spiral cut ham with bone
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp dijon mustard

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 350º and adjust oven racks to allow for the ham to fit.  Prepare a roasting pan with a rack by spraying it with cooking spray.  Place the ham on the roasting pan, and cover with aluminum foil.  Roast it in the oven for 2 hours.  If your ham is not 10lbs, adjust your cooking time by 20 minutes more or less depending on the size of your ham.  For example, an 8lb ham would roast for 40 minutes less than a 10lb ham.
  • While the ham is roasting, prepare your glaze.  Combine the brown sugar, honey and mustard in a small sauce pan and place over low heat.  Stir occasionally and heat until the glaze is well combined and a pourable texture.
  • After the the 2 hours (or more or less), remove the ham from the oven and pour the glaze over it.  Recover it with the foil and roast it for an additional 1 hour and 20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160º with a meat thermometer.  Baste is ham every 20 minutes or so.
  • When the ham is done, remove it from the oven and baste it once more.  Let it rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing and serving.
