- 1 tsp oil
- 1 onion diced
- 1 lb ground beef lean
- ¼ cup taco seasoning
- 16 oz salsa
- 2 refrigerated pie crusts or homemade!
- 16 oz can refried beans
- 1½ cup shredded cheese I used Mexican Blend
Preheat the oven to 350° and grease a pie plate. Lay one of the pie crusts in the bottom of the pie plate. Spread the refried beans on the pie crust and then set aside.
Heat a large skillet over medium high heat and add the oil. Add the ground beef and onion. Cook and crumble the ground beef and onion until the beef is no longer pink and the onion is translucent.
Remove the skillet from the heat, and add the taco seasoning and salsa. Mix until combined.
Spread the beef mixture over the beans in the pie plate. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the beef mixture. Place the second pie crust on top of the cheese and pinch the two crusts together at the edges.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, or until the crust begins to brown. Cool for 10 minutes and enjoy!
