Edible Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

Spoonful of edible chocolate chip cookie dough

Everyone knows that the best part of making homemade cookies is eating the dough. If you are like me, you have always eaten that stuff by the shovelful without ever thinking twice about salmonella or E. coli. I may not be concerned about giving myself food poisoning, but I am now responsible for the lives of four little ones, and they love cookie dough just as much as I do. This edible chocolate chip cookie dough recipe will satisfy your cookie dough craving without the risk of dying because of it.

Individual No-Bake Cheesecakes

Individual no-bake cheesecake with cheery topping

I can feel it! Summer is here (well almost)! Summer is completely my favorite season. I am all about the sun and the heat, but mostly I am all about not having to rush my kids off to school every morning. With summer comes two things: lots of cookouts and get-togethers and also moms serving things that require little to no effort to prepare because they “don’t want to heat the house up with the oven”. I may be one of those moms more often than I would like to admit! These Individual No-Bake Cheesecakes are great because they are easy to transport and also easy to serve. They are also great because they require no baking at all.

Birthday Cake Muffins

Birthday cake muffins on cooling rack

My oldest daughter is absolutely obsessed with sprinkles. I am confident that if I let her, she would add sprinkles to every single thing she eats, and who can really blame her?! I often make baked goods with fruit or chocolate for breakfast (like these pancakes), but I have never really considered adding sprinkles. This morning, I suggested chocolate chips muffins for breakfast, and I could see how disappointed she was. I decided to change it up a bit and do birthday cake muffins instead!

Honey Bun Cake – Cinnamon Sugar Filling and Honey Glaze

Honey Bun Cake

As far a packaged snacks from my childhood go, Honey Buns and Nutty Bars were definitely my favorite. I had heard of honey bun cake, so I decided to give it a try. When I started looking for a great recipe for this, I realized that none of them actually had honey. I also notice that all of them used a box cake mix. There is absolutely nothing wrong with using a cake mix, but I wanted to have a recipe from scratch, so here it is! Now it’s time to get to work on a Nutty Bar dessert!

Key Lime Cheesecake Bars

I am obsessing over summer coming. Yesterday, I was in such a summery mood, so I decided to make Shrimp Summer Salad because it has so many of my favorite foods of the season. Last night, I was REALLY craving some dessert, but it also needed to be something that I associate with summer. Key lime pie screams summertime to me, but I didn’t want just regular key lime pie. I realized that I had a bunch of cream cheese that I bought to test out another recipe so I decided to combine two of my favorite desserts: key lime pie and cheesecake. The only thing that would make these bars better would be eating it IN Key West.

Everything Bars with Peanut Butter, M&Ms and Oreos

My kids absolutely love Oreos. We almost always have a pack of them in the pantry, because I can use them to bribe my kids to do almost anything. I got a new pack a couple days ago, and put them on the top shelf of the pantry like I usually do. My two year old managed to climb up the shelves like a little spider monkey and get the Oreos. She then broke EVERY. SINGLE. COOKIE. Having all of those broken cookies really bothered me (because I’m annoying like that), so I decided to make something using them.

Red Velvet Cookies with Cream Cheese Icing

For Easter, I made a recipe for Carrot Cake Cookie Sandwiches. I loved the idea of cookies and cream cheese icing combined, so I wanted to make another recipe like that. Red velvet cake and cream cheese icing are two things that I feel go together like peas and carrots, so they were an obvious choice for me.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars with Reese’s Eggs

In my opinion, Easter has the best candy of any holiday by far, and the best candy of all is Reese’s Eggs. There is just something about the ratio of peanut butter to chocolate that is so much better in the eggs than the regular peanut butter cups. You have to get the right eggs, too. There are multiple sizes. The BEST Reese’s Eggs are the bigger ones. You know, the ones that come in a six pack. Don’t get me wrong, all of the Reese’s are delicious, but these are hands down the best! With Easter coming up, and these eggs calling my name from every aisle of every store, I felt like I needed to make a recipe using them.
